High school sweethearts Chris & Andrea Shifflett knew that they were meant to own their own business. Together since 1996, they went through many trials & tribulations in various careers. Nine years ago they took their first trip to New Orleans (inspired by Andrea's favorite book series) and fell in love with the Crescent City. They knew they wanted to bring a touch of the Nola culture to Michigan. However, numerous roadblocks were forever in their path. Finally, in 2019, Andrea and Chris decided to try one more time. Together, with their two teenage children, Eddie & Sarah, they met with the right contacts that would guide them to opening Cafe Nola officially February 18th, 2020. Even though Covid-19 struck right around the same time, they used the shut downs as opportunities to introduce new items and expand their community footprint.
Bringing a touch of New Orleans to the area, Cafe Nola serves amazing coffee and espresso drinks, as well as breakfast, lunch, snacks & desserts! We're also the only place in the area for Bubble Tea!! Stop by and visit for a perk-me-up, after school snack or ask us about our catering options! We can't wait to meet you!
